Riddle Me This, Cindy.

I’m not sure who wrote this, but I received it in an e-mail the other day. After John McCain’s seemingly racist disdain and commentary offered to Barack Obama last night and Cindy McCain’s claim today that Barack is running the dirtiest campaign in history, I thought it appropriate to share. While reading the following, think hard about how race plays a part in this election.

——————————————————————————

What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating
class?

What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said “I do” to?

What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no
longer measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to pain
killers, but acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama were a member of the Keating-5*?

What if McCain were a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election
numbers would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does.  It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes
positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in
another when there is a color difference.

PS: What if Barack Obama had an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter….
*******
You are The Boss… which team would you hire?

With America facing historic debt, 2 wars, stumbling health care, a
weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, mortgage crises,
bank foreclosures, etc.

Educational Background:

Obama:
Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in
International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

  vs.

McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
   Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

——————————————————-

Kinda makes you take a step back and think about things doesn’t it? If you’re leaning McCain, think for a second about why you’re even considering McCain and make sure it’s not because Obama is black.

  1. How scary is it that one candidate is so clearly superior to the other and one TEAM is so clearly superior to the other, and the inferior team is even able to hang on?

    Thanks for the shout. Dugg.

  2. I cannot believe that this race is anywhere close - just because of the simple analysis included above.

I believe that Obama / Biden will collect more than 400 EV in less than one month’s time.

  3. Considering the number of strong arguments in support of Obama listed above is it really necessary to bring up the Keating Five affair?

Not that I’m a big fan of John McCain, but even the Special Counsel for the Keating Five investigate recommended that John McCain be removed from the investigation. (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=95442905 )

  5. Ed: When considering the Keating Five investigation, it’s necessary to remember that the special counsel did not investigate interactions between Keating and McCain whilst McCain was a Representative, because it was a Senate investigation. McCain had known Keating since 1981, and most of the campaign donations, the use of the private jet, and the vacations in the Bahamas, and the investment in a Keating property deal by Cindy and her father, all happened before McCain became a Senator.

That is why the Phoenix New Times at the time called McCain “The Most Reprehensible of the Keating Five”. McCain’s local paper!

  6. Just because one does not have a “formal” education does not make them inferior to another. LIFE is the biggest educator one can receive. MCain’s record and service to our country is far and above the IL Senator’s. Biden keeps things status quo; and Palin shakes things up. I’m a citizen who is ready to see Washington shaken up and doing what we put them in office to do - work for us, provide US a service. Who has the service record - McCain!

  7. Lyanne, I’m from England and the press in the UK hasn’t been pointing out much of either candidates previous life experience as far as I’ve read. What does McCains service record consist of? And, for that matter what does Obamas consist of?

  8. Lyanne, according to McCain’s record, he’s agreed with Bush over 90% of the time when it comes to voting in the Senate. He’s no reformer.
The only reason that Biden would “shake up” anything in government is because she has no goddamn idea what she’d be doing as a vice president. Maybe formal education doesn’t make someone inherently better than someone else, but we’re not talking about a popularity contest here–we’re talking about the President. The President of this country needs to be someone well-educated. You can’t learn about foreign policy and the economy through “life experience.” It doesn’t work that way. You want to be led by someone who you think would be a cool guy to have a beer with. Well, you’re fucking retarded.

  9. Seriously…Yer not making yer case any better by implying(or outright stating) people not voting for Obama are some kinda subconscious racists.
You really wanna bring up each candidate’s history yet fail to mention Ayers.
Being horrid at HTML and not having links ready for the multiple lines of evidence for that and seeing how it is somewhat off topic from my main point..we can politely ignore it.

Yea, I’m as white as they come. I’m a City Boy, but still fairly Southern.

I am -not- not voting for Obama because of the color of his skin.
I did not know, nor care, that he’s ‘only half-black’ until some talking head on TV told me..repeatedly…and I still didn’t care.
I do not think he’s secretly an Extremist Muslim.
I do not think he’s not a US Citizen.
I do not think he beats his wife or whatever.
Ohh, and with the Ayers comment I guess I should add:
No, I do -not- think Obama has; either currently or anytime in his past, attempted to or were around people attempting to, -at the time he was associating with such folks-(very important bit), blow things up…federal buildings and/or human beings.
In simpler terms. No, I do not believe Obama is currently, or has ever been, part of a terrorist organization.

The reason I’m not voting for Obama is because I disagree with his policies. Plain and simple.

I’ll give the same advice to both sides. I don’t want Ultra-Left EuroSocialism…I don’t want Ultra-Right Theocracy either.
The rumors of Obama’s EuroSocialmism tend to hold more water than the rumors of Palin’s Theocracy.

  10. What if McCain attended a racist church for 20 years?

What if McCain launched his political career in the home of an unrepentant abortion clinic bomber?

What if McCain could not point to a single accomplishment during his time in the senate?

What if liberals weren’t completely self-unaware?

  11. The OP tries to twist things to his advantage. Obama can give a speech that sounds fantastic and makes you think he knows what he is talking about. Five minutes after you hear him though you shake your head and think, He never really said anything. It sounded good but he didn’t make a single decisive commitment to anything.

I would have more respect for any Obama supporter if they just came out and said they want this country to turn to socialism.

Where will we find elitist schools to educate our future presidents when we do turn to socialism?

  12. It’d be shocking if one McCain supporter could come up with an original thought.

For people who are consumed with the Bill Ayers things, Jesus, he was a radical during the vietnam war movement! The FBI considered Bob Dylan a radical.

It’s always amazing how ignorant ‘followers of the status quo’ can be. Remember that guy who thought the world orbited around the sun… or do you need to go to an Ivy League school to understand that analogy?

I hear all this hype about Obama not being fit for the job, but if you read this post… it’s not about that is it? All the ‘facts’ that people keep bringing up in the comment section here are mere speculation and talking points.

McCain supporters are such hypocritical douche bags. Obama never claimed to be holier than thou, that’s McCain.

Stop trying to slander a man that never claimed to be perfect. Furthermore, read a history book and figure out some things…

It’s so amazingly obvious that the previous McCain supporters have done absolutely noooooooooooooooooooo homework on any of the issues, rather, are just one fox news broadcast away from starting a civil war.

Wake up idiots. The race is over, you lost. McCain is a douche, and we’re no suprised you’re angry.

    Move to Alaska.

  14. McCain will sent US foreign relations further backward than they already are. The international community is overwhelmingly in favor of Obama. Your economy is already screwed, you don’t need your international relations blown apart too.

McCain - Palin represents everything foreigners dislike about America. Obama - Biden represent the slim slice of faith that foreigners have in America getting their shit together and bring something positive to society.

  17. what if McCain hung with domestic terrorists ?
what if McCain’s wife was never proud of her country until it did something for her ?
what if McCain belonged to a group engaged in voter fraud ?
what if McCain sat in a KKK meeting for 20 years and had his kids inducted ?
what if McCain promised you health care he can neither deliver nor pay for ?
what if McCain told your daddy that he’s gonna take 30% more of his hard-earned dollars and give them to some bum who can’t pay his bills ?
What if McCain were under the mistaken impression that islamic zealotry will never reach our shores again ?

Fact is, kids, your candidate’s a bum, a crook and a panderer. He’s no different from the rest of the D.C. garbage, except it’s been gift wrapped. That pig’s got lipstick on it and it’s got all you tadpoles fooled right outta your BVD’s. Drink the Kool-Aid kids, you’ll love it…you’ll switch to coffee tho’, once you get jobs and become productive enough members of society to want others to be productive too, rather than to attach themselves to the government teat.
