Recently, on Monday mornings I’ve been waking up with an anticipation for the day unlike any other Monday (save government Holidays). I jump out of bed with a the energy of a child on Christmas morning! I throw on my slippers and run down stairs, pick up my New York Times and WSJ, head back upstairs and plop in front of CNN! Oh, how excited I am! Oh, how giddy! It’s time to figure out what’s going to be happening on this season’s hottest new comedic drama: McCain Campaign, 1st Season!

Oh, what will the characters get into this week!? What folly will befall them!? Ten O’Clock Eastern Time cannot come soon enough!

And then it happens, it all goes down. In a direction no reasonable person could have ever anticipated, no prophet could have ever foreseen, McCain unveils his new weekly platform stump speech! Oh but it’s not over, don’t you dare change that channel, not before we hear Sarah Palin and what this weeks ridiculous attack on the democratic ticket will be! Oh it’s gotten so entertaining, the twists, the turns! I’m just as excited to see what happens Monday morning as I am for the next episode of Big Brother!

The plot is simple: This is the story of several strangers, picked to run for a house, completely different, equally unqualified, given the task of assembling a party so broken and irrelevant, while all the same time, duping a large populace to believe they’re in touch with reality.

Who knows what they’ll come out with this week! All I can say is that I’d have thought they’d write out that Palin character already….
