We back.

In a moment of self-aggrandizing glory, I’d like to apologize to the twenty or so faithful readers who I’ve so cruelly deprived of quality commentary while on my snowboarding sabbatical. I have to admit, the brutal presidential campaign, combined with the subsequent and here to incessant, sore-losing neo-con determination to undermine any possible progress has/had taken a larger toll on my writing psyche than I had anticipated. Nevertheless, I too now have got the itch to bitch again, and bitch I shall.

Let’s catch up. I too have fallen victim to the economic downturn and am no longer gainfully employed. While still slightly unnerving, I suffer a fate not nearly as tumultuous as the majority of those in a similar situation, as my previous employer has generously given me enough severance to live comfortably for some time to come.  I’ve spent the time off reading, studying, interviewing, but mostly snowboarding.

My most recent thought about the political climate of the day is that watching the uber-conservative party members scurry and sputter in a slow motion death wobble is analogous to watching the Titanic sink, or a bunch of ants, whose nevous systems have been destroyed by RAID, seize and die.

Briefly, I look forward to the rebirth of the Republican Party, I really do. I think the door has been left open for a new party characterized by socially responsible, fiscally conservative leadership, in a way similar to what we expect from conservative Democrats. I look forward to the Republican embrace of reality, logic, and reason and the defiance of special interest, religious zealots, and the uber rich.

Lastly, I would like to re-kindle my love of Meghan McCain and expos facto-ly rescind my disdain for her. As only the most vigilant readers know, one of the first, if not the very first post on this blog ripped Meghan McCain and her turncoat conservatism during the election, but in the spirit of reconciliation, her latest commentaries on conservative talk show hosts are spot on and thus one can be sure the old progressive Meghan is back!

More soon! Thanks for bearing with me!

P.S. Thanks to the Pajama Pundit for syndicating some of my ish while I was gone!

P.S.S. Someone needs to tell wordpress to add “uber” to the dictionary for the next update.

  1. To fill you in on what has happened, Sir Spendalot Obama has added more to the national debt in two months than Bush did in eight years, and that was hard to do. The reason they can't find Obama's birth certificate he is really a half brother of George Bush. Meanwhile the liberals are so irrationally exuberant that they haven't noticed that China owns us and Mexico has become the 51st State, and the smartest thing the Republican enthusiasts can come up with is mailing tea bags and deciding if they should pick a drug addicted talk show host or the soccer mom to be their next hero. Future looks great.

  2. “China owns us and Mexico has become the 51st State,”

Sadly, this has been the case for some time now.
